Ebrahim Raisi is now President-elect of Iran. He is also considered to be the front-runner to replace the current Supreme Leader of Iran, Ayatollah Khamenei.

Formerly, I predicted that Hassan Rouhani would be lead Iran into World War III. But events did not unfold as quickly as I had thought. Rouhani was prohibited from running for another term as President of Iran. I had said that Rouhani would be both President and Supreme Leader of Iran, and that he would then lead Iran into war with the West, even using nuclear weapons against us.

Now I think that it will be Raisi who obtains that double role: President of Iran and at the same time Supreme Leader in place of Khamenei. This will give him enough power to bring the nation into war.

As for nuclear weapons, the sudden increase in aggressive behavior of Iran beginning in May of 2019 may have been due to the nation reaching a landmark: obtaining their first working nuclear weapon. This would be accomplished by some type of third and covert uranium enrichment plant, in addition to Natanz and Fordo. As they continue to make more weapon grade uranium, they should reach several nuclear weapons sometime this year or next. They need at least 4 or 5 weapons in order to use one.

If Iran has only one nuke, and they use it, then they cannot withstand the response to that nuclear attack. But if they have more than one nuke, if they use one, they can moderate the response by threatening to use another one. Then, because of the possibility that a special operations mission might find and disable one or more of their nukes, they really need at least 4 or 5 to be able to use one or two, and still have more in reserve to make threats and to guard against any one or two being destroyed in a military operation.

When Raisi becomes Supreme Leader and at the same time President of Iran, the stage will be set for him to use nuclear weapons to attack the West. I believe this will happen in 2022 or 2023. Before then, Iran will announce that they have nukes, and will try to become the leader of all the Arab/Muslim nations of the Middle East and northern Africa. They will seek coups and resurrections in those nations, to put like-minded extremists in power. Raisi is a Twelver, like Rouhani and Khamenei. They believe in an holy war needed to initiate the reappearance of the Twelfth Imam and the destruction of all the infidels, thereby establishing a worldwide Muslim-only kingdom (Caliphate). That is why Iran is seeking nuclear weapons, literally to start an apocalyptic war, in accord with extremist Twelver eschatology.

Will Raisi announce that Iran has nuclear weapons? and When? He takes office on August 3, 2021.
