Who Persecutes the Church, Persecutes Christ
“Carlo Vigano, why are you persecuting me?”
“I’m not persecuting You, Jesus, I’m just persecuting Your Vicar, Your Bishops, Your Councils, Your Magisterium, and Your Church.”
“I am Jesus, whom you are persecuting. It is hard for you to kick against the goad.” (cf. Acts 9:4-5)
Whosoever persecutes the Church, persecutes Christ. And the same is true for those who persecute any Pope, the body of Bishops, any general Council, the Magisterium, the liturgy, the Sacraments, and the body of faithful souls who love the Pope and the Bishops.
There’s no theological argument that will stand upon the day of your particular judgment, nor on the day of our general Judgment, against the true accusation that you or anyone else has persecuted the Church.
Whoever crucifies the Church, crucifies Christ.
