What EXACTLY is in each of these vaccines?
Notice: People allergic to polyethylene glycol (PEG) should not receive either of the mRNA COVID-19 vaccines. The Moderna and the Pfizer vaccines are each mRNA vaccines with PEG in them. Those who are allergic to any similar ingredient should also avoid getting vaccinated.
Pfizer vaccine description:
“The Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 Vaccine is supplied as a frozen suspension in multiple dose vials; each vial must be diluted with 1.8 mL of sterile 0.9% Sodium Chloride Injection, USP prior to use to form the vaccine. Each dose of the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 Vaccine contains 30 mcg of a nucleoside-modified messenger RNA (modRNA) encoding the viral spike (S) glycoprotein of SARS-CoV-2.
“Each dose of the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 Vaccine also includes the following ingredients: lipids (0.43 mg (4-hydroxybutyl)azanediyl)bis(hexane-6,1-diyl)bis(2-hexyldecanoate), 0.05 mg 2[(polyethylene glycol)-2000]-N,N-ditetradecylacetamide, 0.09 mg 1,2-distearoyl-sn-glycero-3-phosphocholine, and 0.2 mg cholesterol), 0.01 mg potassium chloride, 0.01 mg monobasic potassium phosphate, 0.36 mg sodium chloride, 0.07 mg dibasic sodium phosphate dihydrate, and 6 mg sucrose. The diluent (0.9% Sodium Chloride Injection, USP) contributes an additional 2.16 mg sodium chloride per dose.

Moderna vaccine description:
“Moderna COVID-19 Vaccine is provided as a white to off-white suspension for intramuscular injection. Each 0.5 mL dose of Moderna COVID-19 Vaccine contains 100 mcg of nucleoside-modified messenger RNA (mRNA) encoding the pre-fusion stabilized Spike glycoprotein (S) of SARS-CoV-2 virus.
“Each dose of the Moderna COVID-19 Vaccine contains the following ingredients: a total lipid content of 1.93 mg (SM-102, polyethylene glycol [PEG] 2000 dimyristoyl glycerol [DMG], cholesterol, and 1,2-distearoyl-sn-glycero-3-phosphocholine [DSP C]), 0.31 mg tromethamine, 1.18 mg tromethamine hydrochloride, 0.043 mg acetic acid, 0.12 mg sodium acetate, and 43.5 mg sucrose.

Is there a problem with receiving the Pfizer covid vaccine? As an emergency room nurse, its currently optional. I received it not knowing if this was ok as a catholic, to protect my family and self. Your thoughts?
Morally, it is entirely acceptable to take either vaccine, the Pfizer or the Moderna. The claim that any Covid-19 vaccine contains fetal cells is false. Here’s my post on that topic.
Here are two things to be concerned about with the Pfizer vaccine. I don’t see mention of this ingredient listed!
“Pfizer/BioNTech is also inserting an ingredient derived from a marine invertebrate, mNeonGreen, into its vaccine. The ingredient has bioluminescent qualities, making it attractive for medical imaging purposes, but it is unclear why an injected vaccine would need to have that quality. mNeonGreen has unknown antigenicity.“
Why would they need to have that ingredient?
Also the following is alarming for women of childbearing age
“There is no indication whether antibodies against spike proteins of SARS viruses would also act like anti-Syncytin-1 antibodies. However, if this were to be the case this would then also prevent the formation of a placenta which would result in vaccinated women essentially becoming infertile.”
“According to section 10.4.2 of the Pfizer/BioNTech trial protocol, a woman of childbearing potential (WOCBP) is eligible to participate if she is not pregnant or breastfeeding, and is using an acceptable contraceptive method as described in the trial protocol during the intervention period (for a minimum of 28 days after the last dose of study intervention).
This means that it could take a relatively long time before a noticeable number of cases of post- vaccination infertility could be observed.”
This data was obtained from a Petition/Motion to the European Medicines Agency requesting a stay of action in the Phase III clinical trials of the Pfizer/BioNTech COVID vaccine.
The substance mNeonGreen was used in lab experiments for SARS-CoV-2 (the coronavirus). However, it is NOT in any vaccine. Lab experiments often use substances that glow to do tests, so that the amount of light emitted indicates the amount of a certain component. For example, the PCR test for Covid-19 uses a different glowing substance that determines, by the amount of glow, how much viral RNA is in the sample. But mNeonGreen is certainly NOT in any vaccine.
Infertile? Wrong. This sentence is ridiculous: “There’s no indication… however” You could use that to support any claim at all. There’s no indication that “Gail” is a spy from China, but, if she were…” There’s no indication that Trump is a robot, but…” Nothing indicates even the possibility that this vaccine would cause infertility. It is baseless fear-mongering.
In almost all clinical trials, they want to make sure that the women do not become pregnant, because of unknown effects on the prenatal, because of unknown effects on the trial from the changes to the woman’s body, because the effects of pregnancy (e.g. morning sickness) would be difficult to distinguish from the side effects of the vaccines (nausea, vomiting). This is no reason to think that a vaccine would cause infertility.
Also, children are annoying.
