See these books on Amazon.com by Fr. Normand Thomas. He’s a priest in Canada, and his books are available in English or in French. These books are recommended for strengthening one’s faith in Christ.

What I like about these books, as opposed to most Catholic books today, is that they don’t treat Catholicism as if it were a set of positions on controversial political and social issues. These books are like the Beatitudes of Christ, examined in terms of how we might live them. (That’s my comparison, not the explicit structure of the books.)
