How Does the Apocalypse Start? What Happens First?

I published my first book of eschatology in 1998. I currently have 8 books of eschatology in print here. The latest is a complete and concise Summary of Future Events from now till the very end. This post covers the very beginning events, on the threshold, before the SHTF.

The Book of Revelation is the last book of the New Testament. It’s a book of eschatology which describes the End Times (aka the tribulation). The events are organized by the use of symbols: Seven Seals describe seven sets of events. The Seventh Seal is divided into Seven Trumpets (a related set of events). The Seventh Trumpet is divided into the Seven Bowls of God’s Wrath (the last set of punishments).

What most persons do not realize is that the Tribulation is divided into two parts. The first part of the tribulation occurs in our generation. We stand now on the threshold of that set of events. Then there is a long respite between the two parts, the inter-tribulation period, lasting a few hundred years. Finally, the second part of the tribulation occurs in the 25th century (the 2430s).

The first four Seals are the same set of events as the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse. The reason for the additional figure of four horsemen is that the first four Seal occur at the same time and are interrelated, whereas the rest of the Seals occur one at a time, individually.

The first Horseman and Seal is World War 3. In that War, the Arab Muslim nations of the Middle East and northern Africa, led by extremists, led in particular by two persons, the leader of Iran and the leader of Iraq (ISIS), attack the United States, then Europe, then they attack further south in Africa. They conquer and occupy a vast territory, including all of Europe.

But this post is about what happens BEFORE the first Seal and first horseman, i.e. before World War 3. The events listed below are not necessarily in chronological order.

ONE: just as I’ve been predicting publicly for years now [see some examples here], conservative Catholic leaders will — strike that — have now accused the Pope of heresy. By that accusation, they have committed formal schism and are automatically excommunicated. Think about this for a moment. The group of Catholics who have long proclaimed themselves to be 100% faithful to the Magisterium, who have long defended one Pope after another, have rejected the Papal Magisterium and accused him of formal heresy. That is apocalyptic.

(And, no, the Pope is not a heretic. The accusation is based on ignorance and arrogance.)

The next event will be another controversial teaching by Pope Francis, which will cause the conservatives to finally stop pretending to be in communion with the one true Catholic Church (while opposing the Pope). In truth, they have already departed by rejecting Pope Francis as their Teacher and Shepherd. But this schism will progress to the point that conservative Bishops, priests, deacons, and laity will no longer associate with the rest of the Catholic Church.

TWO: Pope Francis will resign, due to the schism.

THREE: The next Pope will be Cardinal Arinze as Pope Pius XIII; he will be very conservative, of course.

FOUR: under the next conservative Pope, many liberal Catholics will depart from Communion with the Pope and the Magisterium. They will no longer attend Mass or even call themselves Catholic. This group will be larger than the conservative group which departed under Pope Francis.

FIVE: Trump is a one-term president. The next President will be a Democrat and a woman, probably Elizabeth Warren.

SIX: Hassan Rohani, the President of Iran, will become also the Supreme Leader of Iran. About the same time, Iran will announce that it has nuclear bombs. It will then ramp up its nuclear program and openly enrich uranium to weapon grade purity.

SEVEN: Iran and ISIS will make a pact. Iran will help ISIS take complete control of Iraq and Syria. They will then foment rebellion in the other nations of that region, to put extremists in power.

EIGHT: The Warning of Garabandal, Good Friday of 2022. This event is also the first secret of Medjugorje.

NINE: The Consolation, which is the second secret of Medjugorje.

TEN: the Miracle of Garabandal, which is the third secret of Medjugorje.

See my book: the Warning, Consolation, and Miracle

Those ten events, somewhat arbitrarily numbered as ten, happen prior to the first Seal and first horseman, World War 3. The War begins when Iran sends a nuclear bomb from Iran, across land through Iraq to a port in Syria. The nuclear bomb is then sent by ship to New York City and is exploded right next to the headquarters of the United Nations. That event begins World War 3.

  1. Alex says:

How do you see the role of Russia, mentioned by so many prophecies, and of China? Do you think they have interest in a Caliphate taking over Europe?

  2. King Robert the Bruce says:

I think Trump is a certainty to be re elected I don’t see the democrats getting in populism is on the rise everywhere also Ron do you think Europe will be occupied by the time the warning comes in 2022.

    • Ron Conte says:

Either the Warning precedes the War (my opinion) or the War is first, and the Warning occurs during or afterward (possible). I think enough events must occur first that the War won’t begin until summer of 2022.

  3. Rob says:

How does the fact that ISIS:
    A) Is all but vanquished
    B) Hates Shia Muslims (like the Iranians) to the point of specifically sorting them from Sunnis for execution
    Fit into this theory?

    • Ron Conte says:

ISIS remains as a diffuse organization, without territory. Once Iran announces they have nuclear weapons, they will make a pact with ISIS to conquer Iraq, and the two groups will foment revolution in the other Arab/Muslim nations in order to assemble a group of nations under their leadership. This pact between the Persians (Iran) and the Medes (Iraq) was fortold in the book of Daniel.

The Shia Muslims of Iran and the Sunnis of ISIS are both Twelvers with the same radical eschatology and the same extremist view of Islam. So that set of beliefs will unite them despite differences in theology.

  4. Rob says:

ISIS is built around Wahhabist ideology, which specifically calls for a single caliph and the utmost “purity” of Islam (meaning kill everyone not subscribing to their brand). It would be utterly destroying its own appeal by willingly allying with Shia “apostates”.

    • Ron Conte says:

They are unfaithful to their own theology. They wear Islam as a mask over pride, lust for power, and hatred for non-Muslims. I tell you sincerely, they will ally. It is written in divine revelation:
{8:3} And I lifted up my eyes and saw, and behold, a single ram stood before the marsh, having two high horns, and one was higher than the other and growing higher still.
{8:4} After this, I saw the ram brandishing his horns against the West, and against the North, and against the Meridian, and all the beasts could not withstand him, nor be freed from his hand, and he did according to his own will, and he became great.

{8:20} The ram, which you saw to have horns, is the king of the Medes and Persians.

Media (the Medes) was an ancient kingdom based in Iraq, and Persia was based in Iran. The above passage predicts the alliance between Iran and Iraq. That’s good enough for me.

  5. Rob says:

They’re not acting any differently than Mohammad himself did. That’s why they have so much international appeal, from the Caucus Mountains to Indonesia.

Frankly I think your eschatology is spotty at best. If you predicted the current Shia-run Iraqi government would ally with Iran it would be marginally more plausible, but even all together they lack the strength to do half of what you think they’re going to do.
