April 25, 2024 Message to Marija from our Lady of Medjugorje
“Dear children! I am with you to tell you that I love you and to encourage you to prayer; because Satan is strong and every day his strength is stronger through those who have chosen death and hatred. You, little children, be prayer and my extended hands of love for all those who are in darkness and seek the light of our God. Thank you for having responded to my call.
Hello – Does the requirement to receive the Sacrament of Reconciliation once a year apply if you have only venial sins? Also, I understand that receiving the Eucharist at Mass absolves one of venial sin – is this correct?
Thank you for offering this Q&A.
Does the requirement to receive the Sacrament of Reconciliation once a year apply if you have only venial sins?
No. It only applies if you have mortal sins to confess.
Also, I understand that receiving the Eucharist at Mass absolves one of venial sin – is this correct?
Yes, if the Eucharist is received devoutly.
Hi Ron. We know Lucipher turned against God. Why didn’t God forgive Lucipher? Did lucipher not seek forgiveness, or was eternal damnation a given because the sin he committed was unforgivable?
All the devils were at first created by God as holy and sinless. They fell from grace by actual mortal sin.
In my opinion: The fallen angels cannot repent, as their nature is so simple. They chose to sin with absolute fullness of knowledge that their act was gravely immoral and with absolute fullness of consent to the grave sin, even though they knew God so well, as they could converse with him directly (not with the Beatific Vision). The fullness of their sin, which encompassed their whole nature, left them unable to repent and undeserving of any special grace from God for their conversion.
