Cheap Substitutes for Fidelity to the Church

This article at “If I might Interject” is a good read: Ersatz Fidelity, i.e. cheap substitutes for fidelity.

You are not more faithful to Christ by being more faithful to the latest “teachings” of secular society. You are not more faithful to Christ by being more conservative, or more liberal. You are not more faithful to Christ by following a certain visionary or supposedly-holy leader. You are not more faithful to Christ by having the “right” political or social views.

Pope Francis has the charism of truth and never failing faith, just like every other true Pope from Peter onward. He cannot be gravely mistaken in his teachings on faith and morals, nor in discipline.
