  1. Guest says:

Is sedition and treason against the pope schismatic?

Is the tiara of the pope a sign that he is the monarch of the Church?

    • Ron Conte says:

sedition and treason would be schismatic, yes. The tiara…I don’t know. The Pope’s role is comparable to a monarch, in that there is no higher authority on earth. But in other ways it differs. He represents Christ.

  2. King Robert the Bruce says:

I would like to ask you Ron how do you think God views the conflict in Palestine I completely understand the persecution the Jews suffered in Europe and throughout the world and theyre need and right for a homeland but do you think God would approve of the treatment of the Palestinians would a Palestinian state with east Jerusalem as theyre capital not work. ps I say this as someone who has the utmost respect for Judaisim.

    • Ron Conte says:

I don’t know how God views the conflict there. Certainly, we all know that God wants us to love God and neighbor, no matter who our neighbor may be. Many grave sins have been committed on both sides of that conflict. I just don’t think the U.N. plan of sharing the region (with those particular borders) was ever workable. There should be a Palestinian State. There’s no way Jerusalem can be shared with so much grave sin in the world; not at this time.

  3. Dot says:

Ron, I just want to confirm to make sure I understood something you have said. 1) A spouse has both the right and duty to refuse to participate in contracepted sex. 2) A couple unable to resolve this conflict has grounds for divorce (possibly a duty to divorce because it interferes with payment of the marriage debt). I do not have all of your books.

    • Ron Conte says:

      (1) Yes, if the sex is abortifacient, or if the contraception requires the participation of the spouse who wishes to refuse. In some grave cases, a wife can participate in sex, even if the husband uses withdrawal, since nothing directly sinful is required of her. But that would be an exceptional case.
      (2) Yes, contraception is grounds for divorce, morally, under Church teaching. There would be a duty to divorce only in exceptional cases where the spouse divorces in order to avoid mortal sin because of frequent pressure from the spouse who wishes to use contraception.

  4. Steve says:

    Ron,
It does not appear that the secrets of Medjugorje will begin this Good Friday. The Blessed Virgin Mary (Medjugorje) message to the World on March 25 begins with that “This is a time of grace.”

It is said by the visionaries that things have to be at its worst before the secrets begin. How much worse does it have to get until God intervenes in human affairs?

    • Ron Conte says:

We won’t know for sure until April 16th, since the announcement, in whatever is the right year, will be three days before. There’s a chance the Warning could be this year. But more likely it is 2022 or 2023.

  5. Dot says:

So then the spouse leaving is unable to remarry? Marriage is such that it is always the case that the “good” spouse must pay for the sin of the other spouse? Children too?

    • Ron Conte says:

It is dogma that, in the case of a valid Sacrament of Marriage, if the husband commits adultery, the wife may not remarry; the marriage remains valid. Sin cannot remove the power and bond of the Sacrament. In some cases, though, the bad behavior of the husband indicates a state of mind, going back to the wedding, that makes the marriage invalid.

  6. King Robert the Bruce says:

Ron I was reading a blog and it was trying to guess what the miraculous permanent sign will be one was saying maybe a pillar of smoke like the jews followed in the old testament I also read another time it may be a eucharist have you any idea what it might be.

    • Ron Conte says:

The visionaries said the sign is something that has never been on earth before, so it can’t be the Eucharist. It may be related to the Eucharist, since the date coincides with the feast of a young martyr of the Eucharist. The pillar of smoke was on earth before, in the time of the ancient Jews. So I don’t know what the sign is. It might be something from the Garden of Eden. That would make the most sense.

  7. King Robert the Bruce says:

Interesting theory that is from left field Ron I didn’t expect an answer like that but didn’t the visionaries say you could look at it but not touch unless people cant touch them by something supernatural still its a fascinating theory thanks for the answer Ron.

  8. King Robert the Bruce says:

Sorry should have mentioned I am talking about your latest blog about the signs being trees from the garden of eden.
