The Doctrines of the Council of Trent: a new translation

I have published a new booklet: ‘The Doctrines of the Council of Trent: A New Translation‘. The Council of Trent was held from 1545 to 1563. This new translation contains only the doctrines of the Council of Trent, not also the Council’s decisions on discipline. It was translated from the Latin text: Sacrosancti Concilii Tridentini Canones & Decreta (1591).

The teachings of the Council of Trent cover all seven Sacraments and the grace of justification (which places us in the state of grace). It is an important set of teachings, still relevant today. Heresies against the dogmatic teachings of Trent still occur among Catholics today, perhaps mostly out of ignorance.
