Reaction of Pope Francis, if the Warning is Good Friday of 2017

The next possible date for the Warning of Garabandal is April 14th of 2017, Good Friday this very year. If the Warning is not this year, and that is a possibility, then it likely will not occur in the sometime in the 2020’s. But since 2017 is the 100th anniversary of the apparitions at Fatima (and for a number of other reasons), this year is not only a possible date, but probable.

See my booklet:
The Warning, Consolation, and Miracle
for all the details on how I expect the Warning and its companion events to unfold.

It will be a stunning event in human history, which will illuminate every conscience in the world. Society and religion will be thrown into chaos. Many persons will repent from their sins with great sorrow. But many others will not.

For this post, I’d like to focus on what will happen regarding Pope Francis, if the Warning is this year (Good Friday, 2017).

First of all, Pope Francis is the valid successor of Peter and he has the full authority of every Roman Pontiff, over doctrine and discipline. He has never taught heresy, nor has he ever committed apostasy, heresy, or schism. Any Catholic who rejects the authority of Pope Francis over discipline or doctrine has fallen into the sin of schism.

When the Warning occurs, it will be like the transfiguration of Christ. The Church will suddenly become much holier, as if transfigured, because so many Catholic sinners will repent thoroughly of their grave sins. By what does Sacred Scripture say about the transfiguration of Christ:

[Mark 9]
{9:1} And after six days, Jesus took with him Peter, and James, and John; and he led them separately to a lofty mountain alone; and he was transfigured before them.
{9:2} And his vestments became radiant and exceedingly white like snow, with such a brilliance as no fuller on earth is able to achieve.
{9:3} And there appeared to them Elijah with Moses; and they were speaking with Jesus.
{9:4} And in response, Peter said to Jesus: “Master, it is good for us to be here. And so let us make three tabernacles, one for you, and one for Moses, and one for Elijah.”
{9:5} For he did not know what he was saying. For they were overwhelmed by fear.
{9:6} And there was a cloud overshadowing them. And a voice came from the cloud, saying: “This is my most beloved Son. Listen to him.”
{9:7} And immediately, looking around, they no longer saw anyone, except Jesus alone with them.

Peter suggests building three tabernacles (essentially, three places of worship) because he sees Jesus with Elijah and Moses. But in the end, there is Jesus alone.

The eschatology meaning is that, at the time of the Warning (the transfiguration of the Church), the successor of Peter — Pope Francis — will speak about the three great monotheistic religions: Christianity, Judaism, Islam. In the passage, Elijah represents Islam because he is a prophet, and Islam is the religion of the prophet Mohammed.

So, at the Warning, Pope Francis will suggest having three prominent places of worship, in Jerusalem, for these three religions. And he will speak about salvation theology, saying that a person can be saved by belief in God, even if he does not convert to Christianity. He will teach, controversially but correctly, on salvation and other religions. He may also say that unbelievers (atheists, agnostics) can be saved without converting to belief in God.

But when the passage ends, they see Jesus alone, meaning that Jesus alone is the Son of God, and Christianity is peerless among all belief systems. Those who enter Heaven apart from Christianity, do so by accepting Christ implicitly, by the love of God and neighbor, or at least by a selfless love of neighbor (and invincible ignorance concerning religion).

Unfortunately, many Catholics will reject the grace of repentance offered at the Warning. Thus, the Church will have great difficulty in the subsequent years. A great conservative Schism will unfold, then a liberal schism, and then a widespread apostasy from Christianity. But, by the end of the first part of the tribulation, the Church will be renewed and enlarged, and then a brief time of peace and holiness will hold sway over the world.

  1. Cristian Merli says:

I said it last year, if Garabandal is true, the miracle is April 13, 2017

  2. Rafael Medina says:

God hear you. We need the Warning happens soon for the salvation of many.

  3. Tom Mazanec says:

What time (Eastern Time Zone) will the Warning occur?

    • Ron Conte says:

Time of Day: I think it will occur at the same time that Jesus died on the Cross, which is about the ninth hour (cf. Mark 15:33) Jerusalem sun time, which is about 2:51 p.m. Israel Standard Time (IST). Since the Warning occurs everywhere at the same moment, the time on the clock will vary by time zone: 2:51 p.m. IST is 12:51 UTC (Universal Coordinated Time), which is 8:51 a.m. on the East coast of the United States (Eastern Daylight Time).

  4. Mark P. says:

So will people sleeping at the time have their warning in the form of a dream?

  5. Sunimal Fernando says:

People do not know about Garbandal warning. So , Ron , is it our duty to educate people whose age is > 7. In old testament , there were prophets. Now what is the method of god equivalent to that to pass messages to public?

    • Ron Conte says:

The visionaries of Garabandal and Medjugorje will announce the Warning in advance. Then the supporters of those two apparitions will get the word out. I’m not sure how that will unfold. I suppose the mass media and the internet will be used.

  6. matt z. says:

There have been times in the Church when peace was made possible. St.Bonaventure brought together a fractured Franciscan Order. St.Francis of Assisi healed the wounds of 2 warring cities. Maybe that will happen again?

“saying that a person can be saved by belief in God, even if he does not convert to Christianity” If he does teach this I hope he doesn’t state it like this. The way it’s stated looks like indifferentism and looks like there is no need to preach or convert.

  7. Mark P. says:

Ron, this is an honest question – what about, say, men serving on submarines under water – how would they see the light and hear the sound? Or pilots who are flying, or a surgeon about to make a delicate incision? Wouldn’t this form of a warning perhaps cause harm if people performing potentially dangerous tasks become startled? Or does the warning occur “apart from time” in a way so as not to interrupt temporal activities? Thank you for any clarification you can provide.

    • Ron Conte says:

It does not occur apart from time. God will make everything work out fine. I don’t know exactly how in each case. I think that the light and sound will be able to reach everyone, if by no other way than a miracle.
