While we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. The sacrifice of Jesus Christ on the Cross is the source of all graces without any exception. So the graces given to the angels at any time, even when they were first created, are from the Cross. The graces given to any and all human persons, who lived before, during, or after the time of Christ on earth, are from the Cross. The grace of the Immaculate Conception is from the Cross — directly and immediately from the sacrifice of Christ on the Cross. For Christ is God and God dwells in Eternity beyond place and time. So grace flows from the Divine Incarnate Lord Jesus Christ from eternity directly to any created person given any kind of grace anywhere at any time. Grace from the Cross directly effected the Immaculate Conception. And the same is true for every other act of the grace of God, as well as acts of providence and miracles, from the least to the greatest, for all created persons.
While we were yet sinners — before any of us did anything good due to any kind of grace, before any of us received prevenient grace, subsequent grace, actual grace, habitual grace, before any created person did anything that could be considered good — Christ died for us. The sacrifice of Christ on the Cross is, from the point of view of Eternity, prior to everything else in the realm of grace and, I would venture to say, logically prior to the act of Creating the universe, all the acts of God’s providence, every miracle, and any other act of God regarding Creation. Even though the sacrifice of Christ occurred at a particular time in a particular place, all graces and other benefits for Creation and created persons are from the Cross.
{Romans 11:36} For from him, and through him, and in him are all things. To him is glory, for all eternity. Amen.
Every miracle is from the Cross. Every grace is from the Cross. Every providential act of God toward any created person or thing is from the Cross.
Praise be to Jesus Christ for ever and ever. Amen.

Thank you. (It seems that this maybe falls under the beyond-unaided-human-conception category, but I was trying to see further into this sentence:
“So grace flows from the Divine Incarnate Lord Jesus Christ from eternity directly to any created person given any kind of grace anywhere at any time.
I was wondering if somehow the first or originally existing incarnate thing would then had to have been Jesus Christ. But, maybe the incarnation is covered by the same explanation as you gave for His human nature(?))
The incarnation occurred at a certain point in time, in a certain place. But God is eternal, so from the Cross, the incarnate Lord Jesus can dispense grace to anyone, anywhere, at any time.
That question just posted is not related to my last question in this thread. It’s asking a fresh one in light of what you’re saying in the article. Thanks.
If You Please,
Then, is Jesus Christ’s incarnation original-eternal so to speak, without beginning?
Thank you.
The human nature of Christ has a beginning point in time, at his Incarnation. From that point forward, the human nature of Christ exists eternally going forward, but did not always exist.
May God be blessed!
So much in this article! Thank you so much! Wow!
If this is too weak, please ignore, because I haven’t thought it out very far–but, it has me wondering if the cross functions between God and creation as something like a hypostatic union? And also, if by personally taking up the cross, we are joining into Christ’s hypostatic union?
Thank you!
No, the hypostatic union is the union of the human nature of Christ with His Divine Nature. What you said could function as an analogy, but not literally.
All Glory to God!
