God is infinite perfect existence. God is Love. Existence and Love are exactly the same in God.
For God, to exist is to love, and to love is to exist. The act of existing and the act of loving are literally the same in the Divine Nature. If God were ever to cease to love (which of course is impossible), He would cease to exist, because there is no difference at all, in the Divine Nature, between existing and loving.
And the same can be said of mercy, knowledge, justice, will, and whatever else may truly be said about the Divine Nature. All is One. For God is One Divine Eternal Act — the act of being everything that God is and of doing everything that God does. And in God, being and doing are exactly the same. Literally exactly the same.
Now we know that the One Divine Nature is Three Persons. But when we speak specifically of the Divine Nature, we must believe and teach that God is truly and absolutely simple. The oneness of the Divine Nature is perfect and infinite.
