How Will the Warning affect the 2016 U.S. Presidential Election?

The Warning of Garabandal, which is the same as the first secret of Medjugorje, occurs 7 months from now, on Good Friday of 2016 (March 25th). In this brief event, every sinner on earth will be shown the sins still on his or her conscience. Some persons will repent. Others will refuse to repent. A small percentage of persons will die of shock at seeing their many sins.

Sins that have been forgiven will not be shown. Sins that were committed with a sincere but mistaken conscience will not be shown. For both these types of sin are not on the conscience. In the first case, every sin that is forgiven does not remain on the conscience; it has been wiped away by the mercy of God. In the second case, a person who commits an objectively sinful act is not guilty of actual sin, if he sincerely but mistakenly believed his act to be moral at the time the act was chosen.

At the Warning, God illuminates the conscience of each person, and He offers them grace to repent from those sins, if they so choose. Many persons will repent with great sorrow. But a large number of persons will reject the offer of repentance. Society will be thrown into chaos, as people either deal with their sinfulness and sorrow, or try to deny and cover up their own guilt.

The 2016 U.S. presidential election cycle will be greatly affected by the Warning and its aftermath. Many voters, having repented of serious sins, will vote with a renewed and sharpened conscience. Other voters, those who did not repent, will fear excessive influence on society by repentant believers, and so they will support sinful candidates. Some candidates will repent of grave sin; other candidates will feign repentance.

I do not know exactly how the Warning will affect the presidential election. But such a monumental act of God cannot fail to have a great effect. Voters and candidates will be greatly affected. Political polls prior to the Warning are meaningless. After the Warning, we will see what voters think of each candidate, and which of the candidates will have sincerely repented from their sins. I expect the change in the course of the election to be sudden and severe. Perhaps a candidate who had only small support prior to the Warning, will have much more support afterward. Perhaps some candidates who drop out of the election prior to the Warning, will reenter the race. Perhaps some candidates will resign, because they now see themselves unfit for public office. But I also think that some candidates may feign repentance, in order to gain votes.

The Warning does not solve all problems. It does not guarantee that the best candidate will be elected. It will not tell people who they should vote for. However, a clear conscience is a good guide for every type of decision in life.

Isn’;t it strange that the warning and possible chastisement will be worldwide events but the miracle will only be seen at Garabandal and Medjugorje? Wouldn’t you think there would be other places for the miracle to be seen around the world?

    • Ron Conte says:

In my writings, for many years, I have said that the Miracle is NOT only at Medjugorje and Garabandal. Many other places of true private revelation will have a Permanent Sign. Also, the healings occur worldwide, so extensively that millions of persons will be miraculously healed all on the same day.

I hope you’re right. I do have a question, though. Suppose a person obtains a plenary indulgence, and goes to confession on March 23. Suppose they don’t sin at all from March 23-25. What will they “feel.” And how would they know that the chastisement occurred. I’m not trying to be facetious or rude. I’m planning this out so that my husband, children & I can obtain an indulgence & go to confession as close to Good Friday as possible, but I wonder how we will know these events take place. And also will venial sins be shown? thank you.

    • Ron Conte says:

All sins, venial and mortal, which still remain on the conscience will be shown. Holy persons will share in the sorrow that Christ felt on the Cross over the sins of humanity. So those with few or no unrepented sins will still experience sorrow over sin — the sins of the world. But most persons on earth are far from that level of holiness. Venial sins are called “light and daily”, and so it is unlikely that a person would commit zero sins since their most recent confession.
