What Are You Doing To Prepare For The Tribulation?

Perhaps you disagree with many of the specifics in my speculative eschatology. Perhaps you have your own ideas on when and how the tribulation unfolds. Fine. These are open questions, not required beliefs. But if you at least agree that the tribulation will begin soon, what are you doing to prepare?

Hunger and Thirst

During the first part of the tribulation, there will be disruptions to the food supply and distribution system. There will also be times when the electrical grid is down, and you might not have clean safe drinking water from the faucet.

You should have at least one month’s worth of stored food, and at least two weeks’ worth of stored water (one gallon per person per day). You should perhaps start a garden for growing some food, or enlarge your existing garden. It would be a good idea to own some water purification equipment.

Radiation Fallout

I believe that there will be two wars during the first part of the tribulation: World War 3 and World War 4. In the first, at least two nuclear weapons will be used. In the second, many nuclear weapons will be used.

You might want to consider buying some type of radiation detection device, like RADTriage, available at Amazon.com. I would also recommend storing potassium iodide pills and some calcium carbonate.

Civil Unrest

At times during the first part of the tribulation, there will be severe civil unrest. The police will be overwhelmed, and many persons will need to exercise their right to self-defense. You might want to consider your options for home defense and self-defense, including possibly owning a firearm.

{22:35} “When I sent you without money or provisions or shoes, did you lack anything?”
{22:36} And they said, “Nothing.” Then he said to them: “But now, let whoever has money take it, and likewise with provisions. And whoever does not have these, let him sell his coat and buy a sword.

Jesus was speaking about the tribulation, and the need for self-defense, especially during that difficult time. Buy a sword means buy a weapon. However, gun ownership is not for everyone. Everyone has a right to self-defense, but not everyone should own a firearm. It depends on the circumstances particular to your life.

There are many other considerations in preparing for the afflictions of the tribulation. See my book: Apocalypse Survival Guide for Christians.
