The Supreme Court decision on same-sex marriage could be announced soon. The next public announcements of decision are expected on Monday, June 17 and Thursday, June 20th.
I expect that they will approve of gay marriage for several reasons:
1. SCOTUS decisions are not solely based on constitution, law, and precedent, as they are supposed to be in theory. The Court is affected by societal and cultural pressures, as is the case with abortion. There is nothing in the Constitution about abortion, yet it is treated with greater protection than the enumerated rights in the Bill of rights.
2. Justice Kagan is apparently an active homosexual, so she can influence the other judges from within the court; it does not depend only on the arguments of each side.
3. The Obama administration, many legislators, and many States back gay marriage. The court is influenced by the current political environment, just as it is influenced by culture and society.
4. The Court has become more liberal than a few years ago. Thomas, Scalia, and Roberts are solid conservatives; Kennedy is a moderate.
5. But on the issue of gay marriage, some conservatives (in politics generally) favor legalization. The issue does not have the full support of all conservatives.
Once the news breaks, see SCOTUS blog for analysis.

When the Court proceedings were going on at that time, I prayed that the Holy Spirit descend on the Justices to do God’s will and not man’s will. I believe that a ruling for gay marriage will be a major turning point downward for USA. I see the economy and society quickly collapsing due to God turning all in support of gay marriage to a reprobate mind.
